Since releasing her No 1 self-titled debut studio album in 2008, the songstress has released a string of chart-topping hits over the years. Her songs have climbed charts across the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan markets.

In addition to her music, the chanteuse has also ventured into acting, starring in films like Love Connected and Trick or Cheat in 2009. She also lent her voice as Sleeping Beauty for the 2018 animated film Charming opposite Demi Lovato, Sia and Avril Lavigne.

Their friendship traces back to when they were just 18. “I met you at the age of 18 and watched you grow from a baby face to a beautiful woman. I watched you grow from a girl who was trapped in love and stayed up all night to a mature woman who is now going to marry and become a wife,” G.E.M. wrote in her post for Ho’s wedding day in April.

Last month, at the grand opening of Sands China’s The Londoner Macao, G.E.M. was spotted with football legend David Beckham. Becks officiated the lavish event and even designed exclusive suites for the property.
