10 of Korean model Irene Kim’s favourite things, from the Cartier Tank and stanning Sofia Richie, to Paris’ Le Bristol hotel, the Daily Fashion News Instagram, sheet masks and instant noodles

- Raised in the US and Korea, she was first Asian global ambassador for Estée Lauder, has worked with Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Fendi, and has appeared on Korean reality TV
- Her favourite fashion brands include Khaite, Cult Gaia, By Far and Magda Butrym, plus she has her own brand, Ireneisgood – but where does she like to travel?
Born in Seattle, Irene Kim grew up between the US and Korea before graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. In 2013, she moved back to Seoul to try her hand at modelling. Ten years later, this is the city she still calls home.
Causing a stir on social media for her rainbow-dyed hair (one of the OGs), she quickly became a go-to collaborator for luxury brands and was named the first Asian global ambassador for Estée Lauder in 2015 as well as working with all the big names like Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein and Fendi. Kim launched her own fashion brand, Ireneisgood, in 2018 and has also starred on Korean reality TV.
We asked her about some of her favourite fashion, beauty and travel inspirations …
1. Book: Discipline is Destiny

I recently finished the book Discipline is Destiny: the Power of Self Control by Ryan Holiday. I think as I evolve in my life, I always want to make sure I become better as a person than I was yesterday and learn to have boundaries so I can accomplish my goals. The book discusses how to practice discipline throughout various stages of your life.
2. Instagram inspiration: @dailyfashion_news

@dailyfashion_news gives daily doses of the latest fashion trends and news in a very creative and witty way.
3. Beauty products: Skinceuticals, La Mer and more

Sheet masks, Skinceuticals Ultra Facial UV Defense SPF50 (day and night!) and I can’t live without my La Mer lip balm.
