Fame and celebrity

  • EEAAO’s Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis may be enemies in the award-winning A24 film, but are besties in real life – they’re often seen hugging, kissing and laughing together at events
  • Both Hollywood veterans, Yeoh has starred in hits from Marvel’s Shang-Chi to James Bond flick Tomorrow Never Dies, while Curtis got her big break in Halloween – so what’s next for the leading ladies?

They may play rivals in Everything Everywhere All at Once, but Jamie Lee Curtis and Michelle Yeoh’s real-life friendship, seemingly built on a bedrock of mutual respect and admiration, is the stuff of legend. Their public shows of support and love for one another is a shining example that authentic Hollywood friendships can truly exist.

According to Yeoh’s interview with People last month, the leading ladies have been acquainted for many years, but they really got to know one another when they worked together in A24’s Oscar-sweeping hit EEAAO.

“We fell in love on first email,” Yeoh told the publication, “She [Curtis] was like, ‘Let’s ditch the directors of the movie, the Daniels, and run away!’ I was like, ‘A woman after my own heart.’”
