That is, until his mum started publicly dating Amazon exec Jeff Bezos. Although there were speculations about Sánchez, 53, and Bezos, 59, starting their fling back in January 2018, when Bezos was still married to MacKenzie Scott, it wasn’t until July 2019 that the pair confirmed their relationship.

They’ve not shied away from any PDA since, all while living the ultra-wealthy life of luxury yachts, private jets and parties with A-listers like Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom and Timothée Chalamet.

But what else do we know about Sánchez’s 22-year-old son, who’s made several appearances with the lovebirds – and has also been enjoying that rich-kid lifestyle?

Nikko Gonzalez’ family background

Nikko was born the US in 2001 as the son of Sánchez and Tony. He graduated from Loyola High School in 2020 and reportedly played on his school’s American football team.

Nikko’s mum eventually married American businessman Patrick Whitesell from 2005 to 2019. She had two children with Whitesell: Evan, who was born in 2006, and Eleanor, who was born in 2008.

It’s unclear what Nikko’s biological parents’ relationship was like during that time, but they seem to have a good relationship overall. According to The Things, Tony joined his ex and Bezos on multiple double dates, and even attended the Amazon founder’s 2021 New Year’s Eve party.

Tony married October Gonzalez in 2007 and they have two children together, River and Malia.

His jet-setting lifestyle

Gonzalez’ life may remain largely under wraps, but one thing’s for sure – he lives a life of extreme privilege. And having a stepdad-to-be who’s a billionaire certainly helps.

As seen in pictures on his Instagram, Nikko is always on the move. From beach holidays in Bora Bora to visiting cultural sights in Galicia, Spain to trips to Paris, Ibiza and St. Barts, this jet-setter definitely isn’t afraid to show off his lavish holidays. The Gen Zer is living it up on megayachts, swimming with sharks and climbing waterfalls in Maui.

He also appears to be training to be a helicopter pilot – just like his mum – and posted a photo of himself flying with instructor Ryan Antoon in August 2020.

His big, blended family

Both Gonzalezes – Tony and Nikko – seem to have welcomed Bezos with open arms.

They’ve been spotted out and about on multiple occasions. In a rare interview with The Wall Street Journal’s WSJ magazine in January, Sánchez opened up about her relationship and how a typical Saturday includes hanging out and going for dinner with the kids, referring to their blended family as “the Brady Bunch”.

She also spoke about her co-parenting experience with Tony. “I learned how to co-parent with him, so I have more experience than Jeff might have,” she said in the interview. “Tony and his wife [October “Tobie” Gonzalez] are my best friends. It wasn’t always that way. There was friction [at the beginning]. But Tony and Tobie were at Thanksgiving with us [this year], and we’re really good friends.”

His love life?

While it’s not been officially confirmed, it seems that Nikko may be dating a social media influencer named Ginebra, according to The Things. He has been seen posing with her and even kissing her shoulder in joint Instagram posts.

Nikko’s mum seems to approve, as she’s left several complimentary comments on Ginebra’s posts: “Pretty girl”, “Birthday girl, love you” and “Beauty”, to name a few.

According to British media, Ginebra recently joined Nikko, Sánchez and Bezos’ eldest child Preston for a dinner outing at Nobu in April. Ever the fashionista, Sánchez sported a US$4,500 Chanel T-shirt for the meal. Bezos reportedly didn’t join this family get-together.

What about Jeff Bezos’ kids?

While Bezos is one of the most famous entrepreneurs in the world, his kids are notoriously private – and that’s likely by design. The billionaire shares four kids – three sons and one daughter – with ex-wife Scott. Only his eldest child Preston is known to the public, believed to be around 22 years old. His daughter was adopted from China, but it’s unclear when, or what her name is, per People.

Now, with Sánchez and Bezos set to tie the knot, their blended families are likely to become closer than ever.
