The couple seemingly decided to make it “Instagram official” in early October, when Phoebe shared a photo of them together in Paris, the city of love itself, on her Instagram with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Considering Gates’ close connections to the fashion industry, it’s not too much of a surprise to hear that these two lovebirds’ paths eventually crossed.

Gates, 21, whose dad has a fortune of about US$109 billion, per Forbes, is a long-time fan of her latest beau’s aunt Stella McCartney.

Gates could relate to McCartney, as they both grew up with famous parents. “Even when I was little she [McCartney] would send me stuff and little notes and I’d be so excited. I’ve been asking my mum forever and ever if I could meet with her,” Gates told WWD last year.

“I felt very connected to her, I feel like because she’s been able to use the platform she had, because of who her dad is, and then she took that and instead of being like, ‘oh, people define me by this,’ she took it and she was like, ‘OK, I have this immense privilege, now I’m going to use it to leverage something,’ and what she chose to leverage is to launch a brand that is completely sustainable.”

This relationship has lasted through the years, as, according to Vogue, Gates is currently partnering with Stella McCartney through her soon-to-be-launched fashion platform Phia on a bag collection.

But who’s the lucky beau, who’s very well connected himself? Donald, 24, is a grandson to The Beatles legend and the elder son of photographer Mary McCartney and now-ex-husband director and producer Alistair Donald, per British media.

Although the would-be couple have yet to address the speculation, fans have been quick to comment on Gates’ post in Paris to share their support.

One of Gates’ friends, Sophia Kianni, who’s also a co-founder of Gates’ Phia platform, commented, “Mom and dad!!” only adding fuel to the rumour mill.
