Where is Christine Quinn, Selling Sunset’s ‘villain’, now? After The Oppenheim Group, she starred on The Masked Singer and started crypto real estate firm RealOpen with her millionaire hubby

Love her or hate her, you have to admit that Christine Quinn’s presence was what made Netflix’s Selling Sunset such an addictive watch. Quinn was positioned as the villain of the show and often got into fights with fellow property brokers Mary Fitzgerald and new girl Chrishell Stause. She eventually left The Oppenheim Group – around which the show is centred – in April 2022 after butting heads with Jason Oppenheim one too many times.

Since then, the reality TV star has kept busy, starting her own business and publishing a book about women’s empowerment. It’ll come as no surprise that Quinn has been able to capitalise on her post-Selling Sunset fame, never failing to be camera-ready and making sure the spotlight stays on her.

Here’s what she’s been up to since leaving the hit Netflix show.

Christine Quinn started her own real estate brokerage

After leaving The Oppenheim Group, Quinn started her own property brokerage, RealOpen, with her husband Christian Richard. The company allows clients to buy homes using cryptocurrency, claiming that it’s the “easiest and most efficient way for crypto holders to purchase luxury real estate”.

The firm also introduced RealScore, a crypto credit scoring system for buyers and sellers of luxury property. In an interview with TechCrunch, Quinn said clients want to close deals quickly because of the volatility of crypto. She told E! Online that, before exiting the show, she and her husband had worked for over a year on the company, and so she had already mentally “checked out” of Selling Sunset.

She published a book about being a “boss b****”

In 2022, Quinn’s book How to be a Boss B****: Stop Apologising For Who You Are and Get the Life You Want was published. The book is marketed as a tell-all as well as Quinn’s manifesto, and covers money, fame and sex. On Amazon, the book’s description says that Quinn helps women be “unapologetically themselves”.

She’s dabbled in modelling work

Quitting Selling Sunset doesn’t mean that Quinn is any less camera-ready. It is clear from her Instagram that the businesswoman and reality TV star remains fashion forward, and is often spotted in unusual outfits and glamorous looks. Quinn has since been on the cover of international editions of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, doing shoots in New York, London and Paris. She has also worked as creative director for a campaign with ShoeDazzle, and was a brand ambassador for Samsung.

Is Christine Quinn still married?

Quinn and Richard got married in December 2019. The wedding was featured on Selling Sunset and had a gothic winter wonderland theme. In 2021, they had their first child together, baby Christian. Viewers of the show may be shocked to find out that Richard is not his real surname – in real life, he goes by Christian Dumontet. According to People, he does not like being in the spotlight and opted to maintain some privacy by adopting an alias.

Richard’s estimated net worth is more than US$20 million. Per People, he co-founded an online food service ordering company called Foodler in 2004. The company became one of the largest companies of its kind in North America. It was sold in 2017 to Grubhub for an undisclosed amount, allowing Richard to retire. There has been no indication that the pair has broken up, so we can assume that the couple are still happily together.

Keeping up media appearances

Quinn left Selling Sunset under dramatic circumstances, and some rumours about her exit remain unanswered. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she said that her strategy was always to get through five seasons and “stick it out as long as I could”. At the time, before she opened her own firm, there was speculation that she’d return to the O Group. Quinn has said it would never happen. But judging by her constant media appearances – including a recent stint on The Masked Singer – it’s safe to say that this won’t be the last we see of the queen bee.

  • The queen bee, who often got into fights with fellow reality TV stars Chrishell Stause and Mary Fitzgerald, wrote a book titled How to be a Boss B**** and is a Samsung ambassador
  • She married tech founder Christian Richard – aka Christian Dumontet – in a televised wedding on the show, and the pair has since started their own brokerage, RealOpen
