The 54-year-old Oklahoma native is an American blogger, author, food writer and TV personality, best known for her work under the brand, The Pioneer Woman. She has a blog called ThePioneerWoman.com and has been a host for the Food Network’s The Pioneer Woman TV show under the same name since 2011.

She is a New York Times-bestselling author

Drummond is an established author with dozens of cookbooks, children’s books and memoirs to her name. According to Thrift Books, her most popular books include The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Ranch Wife, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Food from My Frontier and The Pioneer Woman Cooks: A Year of Holidays.

Ree has been married to her cattle rancher husband, Ladd Drummond, since 1996. The long-time couple celebrated their 27th anniversary this year. Per Hello! they first met at a local Oklahoma bar, after Ree had graduated from university in California and right before she was set to move to Chicago.

A Vanity Fair report published in October unveiled the “strange but true” story about The Pioneer Woman’s link to Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-tipped film, Killers of the Flower Moon, which tells the story of the 1920s-era Osage Indians murders, starring Hollywood bigwigs Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.

A tweet that later went viral stated: “my mum just said her ‘roman empire’ is how the pioneer woman’s family owns all the land killers of the flower moon is about”, kicking off a heated conversation around The Pioneer Woman and her origins. Per British media, the Drummonds are one of the largest landowning families in the state of Oklahoma. Vanity Fair also reports that a 2022 Bloomberg podcast claimed Oklahoma’s Drummond extended family owns an estimated nine per cent of Osage County Land, worth some US$275 million.
