According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, a labour commissioner has ruled that the singer’s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock overcharged her millions of dollars when he represented her as a manager.

Per the source, Blackstock “crossed the line” as a manager when he handled gigs and deals for his then-wife on Norwegian Cruise Line, as a host on Billboard Music Awards, and on The Voice, as only agents can lawfully finalise such roles. Now, he needs to pay US$2.6 million back to Clarkson and has already appealed the ruling, states TMZ.

As per British media, Blackstock is an American music manager who hails from Fort Worth, Texas. He’s the former stepson of country music star Reba McEntire. He joined his father Narvel Blackstock’s recording studio and music management company Starstruck, and would go on to manage stars like Blake Shelton, Carly Pearce and Clarkson.
