According to People, Rosario Dawson adopted a then 11-year-old Isabella in 2014. In an interview with Health in 2021, she said she knew Isabella’s biological mother and when she found out she was in foster care, she reached out to offer her support. “It wasn’t even a question; it was clearly meant to be,” Dawson said, “We are a family, and it’s beautiful.”
