- Indian billionaire Sudha Reddy is making headlines for the extravagant, blinging outfit she wore to the Met Gala this year – apparently there were over 200 carats worth of diamonds
- Sudha tied the knot with India-based billionaire P.V. Krishna Reddy when she was 19 years old; he is the managing director of privately held Megha Engineering and Infrastructure
If there’s one guest who arguably outshone – in the most literal sense – other celebs on the Met Gala’s red carpet this year, it must’ve been Indian billionaire Sudha Reddy, who turned up dripping in over 200 carats of diamonds, as reported by US media.
Her custom 180-carat necklace alone – featuring a 25-carat stone, three 20-carat jewels and 21 smaller diamonds – is worth US$10 million, states E! News. That bling wasn’t borrowed from or sponsored by high jewellery brands, by the way; it’s reportedly from her personal collection.

But if you haven’t heard of Reddy before, then you are forgiven, as she has kept a much lower profile in comparison to some other famous faces you’d definitely recognise from the event.

The Hyderabad-based businesswoman and philanthropist, 45, has attended the Met Gala twice now, after making her debut in 2021, as reported by Vogue India.
According to her interview with Hello! India, she was “the only Indian at the 2021 Met Gala”.

Here’s what we know about her and her super-wealthy background:
