Stormy Daniels’ husband Barrett Blade has told CNN’s Erin Burnett the couple is likely to leave the country if former President Donald Trump is acquitted in his ongoing criminal trial. Blade’s wife is a key figure in the so-called hush money case currently being brought against Trump in New York.

“ Either way, I don’t think it gets better for her. I think if it’s not guilty, we got to decide what to do. Good chance we’ll probably vacate this country,” Blade said on OutFront.

Per Reuters, Daniels claims to have had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006, a year after he tied the knot with his wife Melania and just four months after Melania gave birth to their son Barron. Trump denies the allegations and has said that the payment was put through to stop Daniels’ “false and extortionist accusations”, according to the wire.

Reuters also reports that in 2016, just days before the presidential election that Trump would go on to win, Daniels signed a non-disclosure agreement. This reportedly involved a US$130,000 payment from Trump’s ex-lawyer Michael Cohen in exchange for Daniels’ silence about her alleged sexual encounter with Trump.

Daniels and Blade come from a similar career background. According to US media, Blade is also an adult film star. He also has a company called Alienwerxs, which sells alien-themed clothing. Per his Instagram bio, he is also an “award winning performer, cinematographer, photographer and director, and founding member/bassist for Warner Bros. recording artist Dial-7”.
