Who is Hunter Biden’s ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle – and why did they split? She’s a mother to Naomi, Finnegan and Maisy Biden, published a memoir, If We Break – and is close with Michelle Obama

- Michelle Obama may not publicly campaign for President Joe Biden’s re-election in 2024, due in part to the way the family treated Kathleen Buhle, the ex-wife of Hunter Biden, according to a new report
- However, a rep for Michelle has dismissed these rumours: ‘The Biden and Obama families are like family to one another, and whomever made these claims about that relationship isn’t familiar with it’

According to the NY Post, Michelle and Buhle’s friendship goes way back, and Hunter even talks about it in his 2021 memoir, Beautiful Things, saying they had “worked out together at the gym and often had evening cocktails at the White House, at both formal and informal events”.
However, a White House spokesperson has since dismissed these rumours in a statement that read, per the New York Post, “The Biden and Obama families are like family to one another, and whoever made these claims about that relationship isn’t familiar with it.” The same source stated that a rep for Michelle added that “she is friends with Kathleen and with the Bidens. Two things can be true”.
