According to Hello!, Stella and Gruszynski have known each other since childhood, and began dating in 2015. They split briefly in 2019 and rekindled their relationship in 2023 following Stella’s split from film student Eli Meyer, according to the outlet.
Both of Stella’s parents took to Instagram to share the happy news, alongside photos of the loved-up couple.
“He asked …. On bended knee … she said yes. Stella and Alex are engaged to be married. Their love story began in preschool! True love, deep love! Congratulations to the beloveds!!!” the Lolita actress, 67, wrote on Instagram.
Stella’s dad, aka 64-year-old The Mask of Zorro actor Antonio Banderas, shared the same sentiment: “My daughter Stella del Carmen is getting married. We couldn’t be happier and more excited,” he gushed in his Instagram caption.
As for Stella, she too expressed her delight in an Instagram photo carousel of the duo. “I get to hang out with my favourite person on earth forever!” she wrote, followed by a string of exclamation points and emojis.
