Meet Kristin Chenoweth’s husband Josh Bryant, who’s 14 years her junior: the Nashville musician met the OG Wicked star at one family wedding, then asked her out when they met again at a second

Kristin Chenoweth played Glinda in the Broadway version of Wicked and reportedly introduced her husband to musicals; in return he introduced her to TikTok
While attending the premiere of the new film in Los Angeles on November 9, Chenoweth spoke about passing her crown – or in this case, broom – to Grande, who plays Glinda in Wicked’s latest iteration. “When she was 10 she told me, ‘I want to be you. I want to play Glinda.’” Chenoweth recalled. When she was cast, Grande told her, “I want to make you proud. I want to pay homage to you,” to which the actress said, “You will do all of that, but put your own stamp on it.”

Surprisingly, Wicked isn’t the only reason Chenoweth is making headlines these days. In a new interview with TMZ, the 56-year-old shared that she was “still praying” for rapper Sean Combs, who’s currently battling “really bad” cases of sex trafficking, racketeering and more.
Amid her many recent appearances, Chenoweth made time to promote her new holiday movie Our Little Secret on talk show The View, and spilled the beans about her relationship with her husband, Josh Bryant.
So, who is Josh Bryant?
He’s a musician

Bryant grew up in Arkansas and is a guitarist for country-rock band Backroad Anthem. He spends a lot of time in Nashville, Tennessee, a major centre of the music industry. As well as performing locally, Bryant has opened for major artists including Josh Turner, Eli Young Band and Chris Young.
He met Chenoweth at a wedding – twice

Chenoweth and Bryant first met at the 2016 wedding of the actress’ niece. Backroad Anthem was booked to perform at the nuptials and Chenoweth joined them onstage to sing. Recalling their meeting on The View, she said “I looked at Josh and I thought, ‘Who dat? He was so cute!’”
