The New York University student, who is in her final year, told conservative tabloid the New York Post she regretted stepping down, and had previously defended Melania Trump’s only child
No one is safe from cancel culture. One recent victim is student Kaya Walker, former president of New York University’s College Republicans club. She was recently quoted in a Vanity Fair article describing US President Donald Trump’s son Barron Trump, 18 – who attends the NYU Stern School of Business and commutes from the Trump residence on the Upper East Side to Greenwich Village – as “an oddity on campus” who “goes to class … goes home”.
Her comments went viral. The College Republicans of America rebuked her, calling her remarks “unfairly framed” but “inappropriate” nonetheless. Ultimately, Walker resigned, reports the New York Post. Now, the student is regretting her words, she told the outlet.
