Bass and his husband Michael Turchin, who married in 2014 in a historic TV wedding, welcomed their twins via surrogate in 2021, and have talked openly about their surrogacy journey. “We always knew we wanted at least two kids,” Bass told People. Turchin added, “I like my sister, we were best friends and that was the cool part growing up – I always had a best friend with me all the time.”
