Fancy using diamonds to rejuvenate your face?

The trend for autumn and winter is to select materials that will help slow down time and clear away dead skin cells to allow a faster cell regeneration. Diamonds are particularly popular, as they are great at exfoliating dead skin while lending a subtle glow to your face from the inside out.

Created by plastic surgeon Dr Yannis Alexandrides and named after his clinic's Harley Street London address, 111 Skin promises to re-create the effects of his skin-healing and anti-ageing treatments in the comfort of your home. His newest creation is infused with black diamond microspheres that help transport the emulsion's potent ingredients deeper into the skin. The formula, based on research by space scientists, use hyaluronic acid and arbutin to deliver anti-ageing properties faster and stimulate cell regeneration for a radiant complexion.

Inspired by South Korea's obsession with sheet masks but made luxurious with the addition of diamond powder, Rodial's latest face mask acts like a nourishing second skin. The bio-cellulose masks are packed with diamond powder, skin-tightening peptides and pink grapefruit, which work together to lift and tighten the skin. While the diamond powder helps brighten the face via light reflective particles, the skin-tightening peptides leave the skin feeling smooth. Finally, the pink grapefruit extract gives a much-needed antioxidant boost to slow down ageing.

Gommage, which means "to scrub", is a name that fits the product perfectly. Infused with diamond powder, gold and pearls, Orogold's newest product helps exfoliate and deliver a subtle glow to the skin. To counter any irritation, the formula is packed with green tea, coconut and chamomile extracts, all potent in anti-inflammatory properties. This gentle exfoliator's secret lies in its eco-friendly 'super smart' beads from Switzerland that break open when massaged to release active ingredients. All you need to do is gently massage the gommage onto the skin and allow it to absorb - no rinsing needed.

La Prairie continues its love affair with caviar by introducing a novel product infused with the precious - and delicious - ingredient. Instead of following traditional methods of lotion-making by using water, the luxury beauty giant instead uses caviar water extracted from caviar beads by steam distillation. The skin gets an instant boost of hydration and elasticity from the extra nutrients, which translates into firmer, younger-looking skin.

There's something indulgent about putting what you'd usually string around your neck into a bottle andusing it as part of your beauty routine.
