Emma Watson was spotted wearing a zesty yellow gown custom designed by Dior at a reading with The New York Film Society for Kids at New York’s Lincoln Centre.
Watson was promoting her latest film adaptation of Disney’s famous Beauty and the Beast, which opens in Hong Kong today.
The gown, which also comes with an organza cape, perfectly resonates with her on-screen role –the independent Princess Belle. Upon her request, the dress was created by Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri and Dior’s haute couture atelier using organza and eco edge silk fabric.
The design of the dress was inspired by one of the costumes Watson wore in the fairytale film.
Dior just revealed a rare glimpse of the creation of the dress through a video essay which followed Chiuri and her team of artisans throughout the process.
