The autumn/winter 2019 fashion weeks have moved from Milan to Paris for the final stop. Tributes to the late German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who died aged 85 on February 19, pervaded the runways – highlighted by Fendi’s last collection by the style icon.

Apart from mourning, brands such as Bottega Veneta and Tod’s delivered collections with a powerful image through their wide use of leather, while Marni’s Francesco Risso went for punk.

Giorgio Armani continued his love for classic black and blue; Gucci celebrated its previous season’s success with a joyful masquerade party, while Miuccia Prada looked back on her troubled times.
