Gucci Beauty lipstick relaunch event goes old school with shades of ’76

At the New York club event, studded with vintage-inspired make-up stations, guests were invited to try 58 new lipstick shades in three formulations

The private New York club hosted Gucci’s eclectic circle of friends, muses and creators to celebrate the Gucci Beauty relaunch and the new line of lipsticks.

The club was customised with rich, old-school glamour – reminiscent of its 1976 opening – and studded with vintage-inspired make-up stations.

Guests were invited to try the 58 new lipstick shades in three formulations, assisted by Gucci global make-up artist Thomas de Kluyver.

Creative director Alessandro Michele was photographed sitting with his biggest fan, Jared Leto. Faces of the Gucci Beauty ad campaign – Dani Miller, Mae Lapres, Achok Majak and Ellia Sophia – also attended.

Singers Florence Welch and Debbie Harry, photographers Alice Gao and Petra Collins, LGBTQ writer Adam Eli, and Zumi Rosow – who inspired the Gucci Zumi bag – also made an appearance at the event.

Jeffertitti Moon, Dani Miller and Zoë Bleu Arquette, daughter of actress Rosanna Arquette, performed DJ sets throughout the night.
