Fenty Beauty by Rihanna launches with new products in Hong Kong, Macau, Seoul and Jeju – and these are her favourite products

It’s official! Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is coming to town. The singer, designer and actress from Barbados has shown the world that she’s perfectly capable of wearing yet another hat as a businesswoman with the launch of her eponymous make-up brand in 2017. After a long two-year wait, fans on our side of the world will be able to stock up on Riri’s wide range of cosmetics.

From September 3, Fenty Beauty will be available in Hong Kong and Macau (T Galleria by DFS, Sephora, Harvey Nichols, Beauty Bazaar, Beauty Avenue), South Korea (Lotte Duty Free, Shinsegae Duty Free) and Jeju (Shilla Duty Free).

The brand’s launch in these countries coincides with the launch of four new products: the Hydrating Longwear Foundation, Hydrating Primer and Mattifying Primer, all from the Pro Filt’r line, as well as the Kabuki Buff Foundation Brush.

These launches add to the considerable arsenal of products (50 foundations from both the Pro Filt’r soft matt and hydrating lines, 50 concealers, as well as eye, lip and other skincare products). The extensive range of each cosmetic line underlines Rihanna’s devotion to inclusion, which has been her motto and the brand’s promise from day one.

“I created Fenty Beauty because I wanted to make a beauty brand that is inclusive for people everywhere. I want everyone to feel beautiful, recognised and empowered, no matter their ethnicity, culture, skin tone or style,” Rihanna says.

Given the extensive range of products, Fenty newbies could find the choice overwhelming. Priscilla Ono, the brand’s global make-up artist, has identified the perfect “Hong Kong starter kit” (which works for most of Southeast Asia, given the tropical climate) that takes into account the heat and humidity.
