There’s no doubt that Kate Middleton makes a statement in whatever she wears – and lucky for all of us, she does it ever so fashionably.

What’s more, she’s always been ahead of the curve in the style department, from re-wearing garments to sporting trends before they become mainstream.

Yet while we’re sure Middleton has the final say in what she wears in public, many of her most iconic ‘fits can be attributed to a talent working behind the scenes – her long-time stylist Natasha “Tash” Archer.

As is the case with many high-profile figures, the Princess of Wales often turns to her stylist for advice on how to make the best impression in public.

Archer has a long history with the British royal family, despite not being a blue blood herself. According to Vogue Australia, she has worked at the palace since 2007, meaning it’s been about 17 years since she was first hired to work for them.

Per the same source, she was initially hired as a personal assistant in William and Kate’s office, and has since become known as Kate’s style adviser.

Meghan Markle is also something of a style maven, and her looks have also evolved since she became a part of Prince Harry’s family. But does she have a stylist?

According to the Express, although Markle has worked with a number of dressers from Nina Hallworth to Maria Means Cote over the years, she usually does the styling herself. Her friend and make-up artist Daniel Martin told CBS’ Gayle King in 2019: “She doesn’t have a stylist. Everything she wears she picks herself. It’s pretty incredible that she can manage all of this.”

In an episode of her and Harry’s Netflix documentary Harry and Meghan, Markle also revealed that “Until that last week in the UK, I rarely wore colour. I never wanted to upstage or ruffle any feathers. So I just tried to blend in. But I wore a lot of colour that week … I just felt like, ‘Let’s just look like a rainbow’.”
