While Zendaya and her long-time stylist Law Roach have been lauded for their flawless execution of method dressing on the red carpet, the Euphoria star’s looks during the promotional run for The Odyssey have fans equally obsessed with her make-up and hairstyles.
From her angelic Matières Fécales dress to her now-viral frosted eyeshadow look and her ethereal undone braids, the 29-year-old actress – who stars as Athena, the Greek goddess of war and wisdom, in Christopher Nolan’s star-studded production – has been bringing her A-game on the film’s press tour.

Make-up artist Ernesto Casillas
Ernesto Casillas is of Mexican heritage and hails from Los Angeles. He also identifies as queer and has a hearing disability. Casillas tried studying studio art and photography at college, but as he told Ability magazine, soon burned out.
Having always loved make-up, Casillas decided to shift his focus in that direction and began working as a make-up artist’s assistant.
He was later introduced to award-winning celebrity make-up artist Sam Fine, who connected Casillas with Queen Latifah, his first celebrity client.
While at luxury beauty studio Mua, Casillas realised that very few beauty brands catered for darker skin tones – something that inspired him to commit to helping women of colour feel beautiful. The two-time Emmy-winning make-up artist now counts some of Hollywood’s hottest women – from Zendaya and Jennifer Lopez to Ayo Edebiri and Megan Thee Stallion – as clients.
