Famous men are embracing their love of Hermès’ coveted bags, with A$AP Rocky, Marc Jacobs and others spotted with pieces from the maison

From the likes of Lionel Messi and Bad Bunny sporting women’s watches to A$AP Rocky’s pearl-studded hair barrettes and Harry Styles casually sporting a string of pearls, men of the 21st century are no longer limiting themselves to traditionally male accessories. Their latest pick? The highly coveted Hermès Birkins and Kellys beloved by celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Victoria Beckham.

Most recently, Dune star Timothée Chalamet was spotted out and about with a fresh buzz cut and a bright orange Hermès Mini Kelly bag – which can cost upwards of US$10,000 – casually slung across his cool off-duty outfit consisting of a black leather bomber jacket, sweatpants and tan sneakers.

Chalamet joins a stylish crew of men embracing the “Man Birkin” trend: the beloved bag has been seen on David Beckham, Travis Kelce, A$AP Rocky and more.

Male celebs have been rocking the “man purse” trend for a while now – Jacob Elordi has an enviable collection of designer bags, for instance. But the rise of the “Man Birkin” – which has grown to include other coveted bags from Hermès – is a trend in itself. As Samantha Jones from Sex and the City once famously put it, “It’s a Birkin, not a bag.”
