'Tis the season to put the calorie counter away! If you’re not indulging in a moreish Christmas cake, pudding or pie, are you even doing the holidays justice?

Thankfully, Marks & Spencer is giving us the full sweep of Christmas treats to make the holidays a little easier, including an extended range for those with gluten, dairy or alcohol intolerances. Now everyone can tuck into the holiday desserts regardless of any dietary restrictions.

Of course, the Christmas classics take centre-stage in the seasonal Marks & Spencer collection, including their bestselling mince pies, a regular sight in the festive spread. The mince pies are made with a butter shortcrust pastry and filled to the brim with plump vine fruits, cranberries, clementines, cherries and a hint of brandy.

The team has developed alternative Plant Kitchen mince pies with a lattice top for vegans.

The British retailer is also delighting us with its Christmas panettone, made the Italian way; the light, sweet loaf is filled with punchy flavours and fruits that instantly transport you under the Christmas tree. The Marks & Spencer panettone is sprinkled with crunchy sugar nibs and hazelnuts before being baked into the distinctive dome-shape that takes pride of place at the Christmas table.

For an indisputable crowd pleaser, the new sticky toffee Christmas pudding is bound to do the trick, filled with plump dates, fudge pieces and topped with a salted caramel sauce. This might be the dessert that Santa tries to sneak out onto his sleigh.

Either that, or the adorable Santa Wobbler tin filled with star-shaped chocolate cookies, because who wouldn’t love a biscuit tin in his image?
