Throughout December, Tsim Sha Tsui’s K11 Musea is exploring art, nature, design and fashion with the genre-jumping Cultural Muse Encounter, hosted in the Opera Theatre, as well as offering exclusive designs from Manolo Blahnik and Sergio Rossi

The recently developed K11 Musea has become one of Hong Kong’s hottest new hangouts since its opening in August, and K11 Group founder Adrian Cheng is showing no signs of complacency when it comes to offering the city an explosion of art, culture and entertainment along the Tsim Sha Tsui harbourfront.

For the next month, K11 Musea will offer visitors an extensive cultural programme alongside their regularly scheduled shopping excursions. When the “world’s first cultural-retail destination” opened its doors at Victoria Dockside, it promised a one-of-a-kind shopping experience through meticulously crafted architecture, interior and design work. K11 Musea boasts regularly curated artwork from both local and international artists, first-class dining options, as well as retail outlets you cannot find anywhere else in the city.

For December, a select number of these outlets will be offering items available only at the new K11 mall. Luxury women’s footwear labels Manolo Blahnik and Sergio Rossi are offering exclusive designs, while Fortnum & Mason, whose Hong Kong flagship store is located at the mall, has specially created a “Musea blend” tea tin, while The Musea Exclusive Hamper includes champagne, truffles and more.

The K11 Musea team has also collaborated with 100 skilled creatives to treat visitors to a powerhouse performance staged across multiple floors of its Opera Theatre from December 21 to 26. The event, free to register for tickets and called the “Cultural Muse Encounter”, will indulge the audience with a special appearance of “muses” in art, nature, design and fashion, the personified forces that inspire the mall’s name and brand philosophy.

The four Muses will be dressed by renowned costume designer Miodrag Guberinic and Hong Kong designer Chocolate Tsang. Guberinic, who has previously designed costume pieces for Madonna and Katy Perry, collaborates with Tsang to create outfits evoking the essence of each muse through silhouette, colour and intricate detailing.

International choreographer Giulio Scatola will be collaborating with local artistic directors Jennifer Chiang and Lemon Ting-Fung Doo to execute the tale of the muses through dance. The afternoon event will also include performances by acrobatic duos, ballerinas, opera singers, a beatboxer and a marching band.

For even more artistic immersion, 13-year-old artist Elisabeth Anisimow will be presenting her works of “Living Art” from November 29 to January 2.
