The world of luxury yachts is never short of an elaborate new model for the world’s millionaires and billionaires to covet, buy or show off – and the latest creation from prestigious Italian shipyard Benetti is no exception.
Benetti has been building one-of-a-kind yachts since 1873, but opened its first office in Hong Kong in 2010. The company has since become known as the market leader in the Asia-Pacific, recording three years of sales exceeding €260 million (US$307 million). And let’s not forget that it was a Benetti superyacht that Beyoncé and Jay-Z spent last summer cruising around on.

Now, rumour has it that one of the brand’s rare Oasis 40 super yachts has been bought by a buyer in Hong Kong and is on its way here, so don’t be surprised if you spot a Benetti moored next door at your next junk party!

The Oasis superyachts are Benetti’s latest model and refer to the sprawling Oasis deck at the rear. It comes in two main models, the Oasis 34M and the Oasis 40M. However, if you’re looking for something truly extravagant, then the B.NOW 50M and B.NOW 66M also have Oasis decks.

The beauty of the Oasis yachts are their flexibility when it comes to entertaining, regardless of the time of day. Sunbathe on the deck during the day and jump right off in search of a beach, or enjoy drinks and nibbles from the sophisticated lounge with unobstructed views of the ocean beyond once the sun starts to go down.

As the first lucky owner of a Benetti Oasis 40M superyacht, Tim Ciasulli, explained to Robb Report: “It’s a very different feeling on the rear of this boat. On most, you can’t sit at the stern because of the engine exhaust and spray. But this is protected. You sit facing backwards instead of forward, right at water level. The speeds are slow enough that you can really see the ocean around you. It’s like riding a big surfboard.”

It’s also got all the amenities you could ever want

The Oasis deck is essentially a dedicated space for outdoor living with direct access to the sea that boasts five key features: wings that open out to allow for extended reach; a large social area for guests; a swimming pool; a mixture of both open and shaded areas so the deck can be enjoyed at any time of day; and a design that offers seamless movement from the saloon area to the sunbathing deck, to the ocean, with a full, 270-degree view of the stern, even from the inside. What more could you possibly ask for?

Its interiors are just as glamorous

Not for the first time, Benetti has collaborated with British firm RWD, one of the world’s leading superyacht design studios, to create the yacht’s glamorous look. It also teamed up with New-York based architecture studio Bonetti/Kozerski for the interiors.

The 34M Oasis has a sportier and more youthful interior theme, while the larger yachts all share the same chic, minimalist elegance the design firm is known for, the idea being to encourage relaxation and a connection to the surrounding sea.

The Oasis 34M maybe the most compact among the Benetti Oasis yachts, but its not short on thoughtful details to maximise comfort and style. One thing’s for sure, anybody seen sailing around Hong Kong on one of these will be the envy of all – so keep your eyes peeled!
