To celebrate turning 50 this year, Shangri-La has released a special mooncake gift box featuring mooncakes filled with 50-year aged mandarin peel, rose and red bean paste. These mooncakes are full of flavour and make a fine way to mark the hotel group’s big anniversary.

The commemorative mooncake gift box will be available for purchase at all three Shangri-La hotels in Hong Kong, as well as on their online boutique.

This year, The St. Regis Hong Kong is launching a brand-new collection of mooncakes. The executive chef of the hotel’s one-Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Rùn, Hung Chi-kwong, has created three types of mooncakes with irresistible flavours. Apart from the traditional recipe, Hung is also introducing the Mini Red Bean Paste with Aged 15 years Tangerine Peel mooncake, and the Mini Assorted Caramel Nuts Mooncake.

St. Regis’ mooncakes are available for purchase on their e-boutique, or in person at Rùn.

Adorned in Chinese motifs like window grilles and ruyi knot patterns, China Tang are bringing back their classic modern gem boxes to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festivities. The Authentic White Lotus Seed Paste with Double Egg Yolks mooncake follows an age-old recipe in combination with the finest ingredients, whereas the Mini Crafted Egg Custard exudes a mouthful of silky buttery flavours.

Classics flavours like white lotus seed with egg yolk, custard cream with egg yolk, and red bean paste with mandarin peel are part of the collection, along with Mini Earl Grey Tea Custard, its newcomer flavour.

Cordis Hotel & Resorts’ Michelin-starred restaurant Ming Court is releasing two mooncake collections, both of which are lavish in their own ways. The Cantonese restaurant is collaborating with esteemed French crystal brand Lalique. In addition to providing two 100 Points universal glasses with Ming Court’s mooncakes, sommeliers have specially selected pairing wines included in the gift set to match with the mooncakes.

Ming Court also created its own white lotus seed paste and double egg yolk mooncakes, which are coveted for their authentic flavour and using the finest ingredients. For those looking for a creative twist, the mini custard mooncakes feature kumquat to bring a fresh citrus scent to a classic flavour.
