With travel back in full swing, our favourite celebrities have been returning to their most beloved beachside destinations, concrete jungles and rainforest escapes in Asia. After all, from bustling foodie cities like Tokyo and Bangkok to beachside paradise Bali, there’s really something for everyone in the world’s largest continent.

But where do the A-listers hang out? Here are the top celeb hotspots in Asia.

1. Banyan Tree Vertigo Moon Bar in Thailand

Blackpink fans will be well aware of the fact that Lisa, one quarter of the massively popular K-pop girl group, hails from Thailand.

Although she’s originally from Buriram province, the rapper occasionally drops by the nation’s capital of Bangkok. A few years ago, the “Lalisa” singer was spotted with the whole Blackpink gang – Jisoo, Rosé and Jennie – at Banyan Tree Bangkok hotel’s Vertigo and Moon Bar, which is renowned for boasting some of the best views of the city.

Mandarin Oriental boasts celebrity clientele at all of its global properties, but Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh seems to hold its Hong Kong outpost especially close to her heart.

When she visited the Fragrant Harbour in April, she dined at the property’s Cantonese fine dining restaurant Man Wah with fellow A-list friends, including the city’s beloved actor Chow Yun-fat, Donnie Yen and his wife Cissy Wang, Anthony Wong, Sandra Ng and singer Sally Yeh.

Other celebrity “fans” who regularly stay at MO hotels around the world include Andy Murray, Alia Bhatt, Lucy Liu, Morgan Freeman, and many more.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have headed to this sanctuary in Ubud for family holidays. According to People, fashion designer Donna Karan and singer-songwriter Annie Lennox have also stayed at this eco-luxury jungle retreat.

Actors like Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padutone and Arjun Kapoor are known to be regulars, according to Vogue. It’s important to note that you’ll need a membership – or know someone who has one, and is with you in person – in order to enter the premises.

9. Aman Tokyo in Japan

Aman’s first urban hotel was opened nearly a decade ago in Tokyo’s Otemachi neighbourhood, near the city’s Imperial Palace.

This exclusive sanctuary is rumoured to be where Kim Kardashian might’ve stayed during her trip to the Japanese capital, according to a report in July.

 

In fact, according to the Hindustan Times, there are even speculations that Kardashian “secretly” met her ex-husband Kanye West and his new “wife” Bianca Censori there, as it seems that they were both posting Instagram Stories in the same hotel at the same time.
