As the festive season approaches, The Peninsula Hong Kong is leaving no stone unturned in delivering a winter wonderland experience. This year, the world-renowned grande dame is drawing inspiration from the golden age of railway travel and inviting guests on a vintage train journey aboard The Peninsula Express. Having transformed itself into bustling Grand Salisbury Station, The Peninsula Hong Kong is celebrating the opening of two new Peninsula destinations: London and Istanbul.

Inspired by The Peninsula Hong Kong’s first Christmas in 1928 – a time when many guests arriving from Salisbury Road had come off a long train journey – The Peninsula Express evokes the romance of classic locomotives and railway adventures. With its signature Peninsula green exterior and wood-panelled interiors, the train honours the heritage of locomotive travel in the era before the jet age.
