9 hot new shops and boutiques at K11 Musea – Hong Kong’s new art gallery-inspired mall at Victoria Dockside

K11 Musea aims to bring a gallery-inspired shopping experience to Victoria Dockside.

The newly opened K11 Musea marks one of the most exciting arrivals to Kowloon’s world-famous retail scene.

This luxury shopping complex sits at Victoria Dockside – reachable via exit J from East Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station – and sports a unique museum-retail concept that seeks to merge art and culture with commerce.

The 10-storey complex’s interior design was realised through the collaborative effort of more than 100 creative professionals – including local artists, architects, environmentalists and designers – and will feature more than 40 art pieces throughout the building, solidifying its position as one of the city’s largest showcases of public art.

Adrian Cheng, founder of the K11 group, said that by reinvigorating the district with 100 “creative powers” the brand began a mission to “make K11 Musea the Silicon Valley of Culture” in Hong Kong.

L’Ecole School of Jewelry brands itself as a “unique learning institution” that introduces the uninitiated to the fascinating world of jewellery. In a major coup for the city, the K11 outpost marks the brand’s first permanent posting outside Paris, in a space designed by renowned architect Sou Fujimoto.

Educational programmes include a range of workshops for young people, conversations, art history lessons, talks, exhibitions and “savoir faire” courses.

Earlier this year, it was reported that this e-commerce business has drawn their focus towards the Asian market, and with the opening of its first showroom in Hong Kong, it is an objective made true. Items ordered on Moda are tailor-made for the clients.

Alexander McQueen

The eponymous Alexander McQueen’s first concept boutique in the city opened within the K11 Musea premises.

Golden Goose

Also making its flagship debut in the city is trainer brand Golden Goose – the K11 Musea venue marks just the fourth location worldwide – where the brand also offers “The Lab” services, a one-on-one shoe customisation experience.
