Why the Louis Vuitton League of Legends leather jacket is the perfect gift for your e-sport friend

Gobal e-sport and luxury fashion collaborate in LVxLOL capsule collection
For the person who has everything, maybe a US$5,000 League of Legends Louis Vuitton leather jacket is the perfect gift this holiday season.
The companies have collaborated in the past. The partnership was announced in September, and in October, League of Legends released Louis Vuitton skins also designed by Ghesquière. Players could buy the outfits for their characters for around US$10.
The collaboration is niche. Riot Games refers to it as the “first-ever collaboration between a global e-sport and a luxury fashion house”.
Louis Vuitton says products will ship in February or March 2020. Even if you can’t buy any pieces from the collection, you can take a look here.
This outfit, with a peplum top, leggings, plus purse and archlight sneakers, costs US$6,020. These are some of the most understated pieces in the collection, and a passer-by might not notice any League of Legends connections.

This look, with League of Legends character Qiyana printed on a T-shirt, has a clearer connection to the game. The tee, jogging trousers, hoodie, sneakers, and watch make this look US$8,890.
