STYLE Edit: Why the new Asaya Lodges at Rosewood Hong Kong is the ideal spot for a wellness staycation

For a truly holistic wellness experience, the new programme at Rosewood Hong Kong addresses the ‘five pillars’ of wellness
Getting into a new health routine is a common New Year’s resolution, but maintaining it for the rest of the year often turns out to be the kicker. For 2020, perhaps it’s time to look past the fickle fitness fads and get into something a little more enduring.
Luckily for us, Asaya at Rosewood Hong Kong just opened – and it offers the most comprehensive integrated urban wellness programme in the city.

For a truly holistic wellness experience, the new programme at Rosewood Hong Kong addresses, as they call it, the “five pillars” of wellness: emotional balance, fitness and nutrition, physical therapies, skin health and community.
The Asaya journey often begins with functional assessments done by expert residential practitioners. These include the Wellness Lifestyle Assessment, which evaluates 12 dimensions of wellness, or the 3D Facial Skin Analysis at the Beauty Atelier. From there, you can head to any one of the thoughtfully-curated spaces across the two floors – all 40,000 square feet – of the hotel for the most luxurious, personalised treatments available in Hong Kong.

If you’re keen to restore emotional balance, Asaya’s integrative signature programmes include cognitive therapies, mindfulness meditations and more. Evening meditation sessions or expert-led yoga take place at Asaya’s Harbour Studio overlooking the dockside. A fragrant sojourn in the Asaya Courtyard Gardens might also make for a delightfully introspective experience.
For something a little more active, guests are welcome to the state-of-the-art Fitness Centre. In the adjacent changing rooms, a marble-clad hydrotherapy pool awaits, as well as sauna and steam facilities.
