J.Lo’s Malibu beach house and US$25 million Manhattan penthouse are both up for sale, leaving her with – just – a home in the Hamptons and her largest house in Bel Air, Los Angeles

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez and her fiancé, retired baseball star Alex Rodriguez – who got engaged in 2019 but have since pushed back their wedding plans – clearly love luxury real estate and have some incredible homes to prove it.

Lopez is one of the world's highest-paid musicians with Forbes reporting that she made US$42 million in 2019 alone. Her success has allowed her to invest in a large coast-to-coast real estate portfolio, with homes in Malibu, the Hamptons, Manhattan and Bel Air, Los Angeles.

Lopez's most recent purchase was her Malibu beach house, which she bought with Rodriguez in 2019, but they are already listing it. They bought the home from Entourage actor Jeremy Piven for US$6.6 million, according to the LA Times. In July 2020, The Wall Street Journal reported that they were listing it for US$7.99 million.

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres in 2019, Lopez described the Malibu home as “a little fixer-upper near the water”. Rodriguez hired Joanna Gaines of HGTV's Fixer Upper to help renovate it.

Lopez told DeGeneres that the couple’s tastes differ when it comes to decor.

“He's a little bit more on the modern, masculine side. He just goes all the way modern,” she said. “Like the stones, and marbles. And I'm like, 'Can we have a pillow? And a blankie?'”

Lopez is also trying to sell her New York City flat in NoMad, Manhattan, an up-and-coming area, close to the Empire State Building.
