Here are two of the most anticipated fashion scoops we’re shouting about this summer.
Chanel’s Monaco escapade

Held at the place Virginie Viard calls “inherent to the history” of the brand, Chanel’s Cruise 2022/23 collection embodies the cheery memories Viard shared with Karl Lagerfeld in Monaco. Hence, the collection is presented in a sporty style to capture the luxurious holidays they had at Lagerfeld’s Villa La Vigie, seen from the show venue.
The summer collection incorporates a variety of jumpsuits made with Chanel’s signature tweed element or silk. Given Viard’s intention to host this show as a tribute to Lagerfeld, she incorporated high-collared, thinly striped long shirt dresses embroidered with sequinned floral plastrons. Meanwhile, the collection’s black satin shoes are inspired by Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo and its dancers’ pointe shoes, with the elegant addition of thin strass buckles. Indulging in a sporty atmosphere, Viard shapes the newest bags like tennis racquets, and constructs asymmetrical skirts and draped dresses with twisted swimming suits.
