The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is set to bring its luxury land-based brand of hospitality to the seas in the coming months. After multiple delays, the line’s yacht Evrima will take its maiden voyage from Spain to France on October 15.

The first of its three yachts, it can accommodate 298 passengers and will travel to the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, South America and more, depending on the time of year, with itineraries that include Costa Rica and the French Riviera.

“Every element of the luxury yachting experience was carefully considered in creating Evrima,” Douglas Prothero, the line’s CEO, said in a news release. “This attention to detail and innovation, and our commitment to delivering highly personalised, immersive journeys will place The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection in a league of its own, promising unforgettable getaways for both long-time cruisers and those who are new to the space.”

What can passengers expect from Evrima?

The guest experience on the yacht will serve as an extension of the Ritz-Carlton brand, reflected across various aspects of the vessel, from the design to the dining options.

Evrima has 149 suites, including two-storey loft suites and some that have soundproof blind walls, allowing guests to combine them into, “larger, open-concept spaces” according to the news release. Each suite has floor-to-ceiling windows, a private terrace, and king beds.

S.E.A., the vessel’s signature restaurant, serves a European tasting menu and was designed by chef Sven Elverfeld, who heads up three-Michelin-starred restaurant Aqua at the Ritz-Carlton’s Wolfsburg, Germany property. Other choices include Southeast Asian-inspired cuisine at Talaat Nam, and Mistral, which offers a Mediterranean-influenced menu and prime views.

There will also be spa treatments, as well as a variety of shore excursions on offer, including snorkelling at reefs, yoga on the beach, and curator-led museum tours, which vary by itinerary. Passengers can also customize their own.

How much do the voyages cost?

Prices vary depending on the itinerary and the dates of the sailing, but Evrima’s inaugural seven-night trip starts at US$7,600 per person at double occupancy, according to its website. The fare includes multiple restaurants, room service, Wi-fi, personal concierge service, and more. There is an additional US$265 charge per guest for taxes, port expenses and fees.
