Marking the 40th anniversary of its Nike Air Force 1 trainers, the big daddy sports brand has embarked on its first collaboration with Tiffany & Co. to realise the Air Force 1 1837 model – named in a nod to the jewellers’ own 186-year history.

Crafted in premium black suede, the trainers feature a Nike swoosh in the trademark Tiffany blue while additional silver details above the heel of each shoe feature both Nike and Tiffany & Co. branding.

Releasing on March 7, the trainers will be available at just two Tiffany & Co. locations in New York, as well as online and through select retail partners. An associated collection of limited-edition sterling silver products will also be released, including a dubrae for the Air Force 1 1837 laces, shoe horn, shoe brush and whistle.

2. Loewe’s anime moment

Jonathan Anderson, Loewe’s creative director, has long been a fan of the whimsical worlds of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli, so the studios’ recent collaboration feels like a natural one.

The new collection draws inspiration from Howl’s Moving Castle, one of the studio’s most famed animes, which tells the tale of Sophie, a young milliner who is transformed into an elderly woman by a witch. A chance encounter with the wizard Howl changes her fate.

The Loewe x Howl’s Moving Castle collection depicts a number of the film’s main characters and famous backdrops on the brand’s clothing and accessories.

Several scenes are printed onto the lining of tweed jackets, while shirts with intricate detailing including feathers and appliqué add a new dimension to bring characters to life. A home scents range includes a new candle inspired by Calcifer, with a smoky scent featuring hints of patchouli, roasted hazelnut and cardamom, among other aromatics.

Being arguably the most successful Italian football team of all time, Serie A’s Juventus FC are far from strangers to the concept of getting suited and booted. And a recent partnership with famed Italian fashion brand Loro Piana is set to give them a relaxed modern aesthetic.

The two Piedmontese institutions have partnered up, with Loro Piana designing the club’s off-the-pitch uniform for the season’s formal occasions starting this year.

The uniform is inspired by two of the brand’s signature suit models, comprising a single-breasted Torino jacket with a melton undercollar and full lining, and a slim, form-fitting trouser without pleats. Both are manufactured with the brand’s mill-made Zelander water-repellent wool, creating a seamless blend of comfort and style.

4. Rolex meets Mission Blue

Rolex and its Perpetual Planet partner Mission Blue recently unveiled a new Hope Spot in the Galapagos Islands. Hope Spots are protected marine areas that have been identified as critically vulnerable as a result of declining ocean health. The archipelago has long fascinated conservationists and was one of the initiative’s first-ever Hope Spots in 2010, but mounting evidence has recently highlighted the need for further conservation efforts.

A 2022 expedition led by marine biologist Sylvia Earle – the founder of Mission Blue, who first visited the islands in 1966 – uncovered new data on deep-sea species and assessed the efficacy of conservation efforts to date.

The partnership marks Rolex’s near century-long support of expeditions and the spirit of explorers, from the Rolex Oyster summitting Mount Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in 1953, to ascending to the deepest depths of the ocean in 1960 and again in 2012.
