The high jewellery collection celebrates the modern woman’s quest for daring designs and is fronted by role models like Phoebe Dynevor, Alicia Vikander, Victoria Song and Shin Min-a

Louis Vuitton made its first foray into high jewellery just over 15 years ago, and the maison has since made quite the name for itself in a field already filled with more established heritage jewellers. On an exquisite evening in the desert of Marrakech, Morocco, in April, the maison revealed its latest high jewellery collection, Mythica, depicting an epic personal journey that celebrates the modern woman as the heroine and author of her own story.

The collection was unveiled in the presence of celebrities and friends of the house like Phoebe Dynevor, Alicia Vikander, Léa Seydoux, Emma Laird, Victoria Song, Shin Min-a and Kōki, with house ambassador Ana de Armas fronting the campaign.

The heroine’s story unfolds in 11 themes across the 110-piece collection, each featuring variations of exceptional gemstones and LV Monogram cut diamonds. Unveiled in 2022, the 53-facet diamond is shaped like the maison’s four-pointed monogram flower, which has adorned Louis Vuitton bags and accessories for more than a century.

Scarce and unique gems are a constant throughout the collection, including a 17.18-carat Colombian emerald with a profound green colour in the Mesmerism chapter, and blue zircon, a natural stone from Cambodia rarely used in jewellery and which is one of the oldest crystallisations in the world, starring in the Fortitude chapter.

The motifs of stars, wings and arrows – exquisitely crafted using diamonds, minerals like onyx, and colourful gems such as rubies – serve as symbols of the heroine’s brave quest. These unique pieces illustrate Louis Vuitton’s core philosophy: a fusion of daring designs, premium raw materials and unparalleled craftsmanship.

A stand-out piece from the collection is the Victory necklace, depicting the heroine’s glorious ascent from her trials and tribulations. The necklace is inspired by a laurel crown, with an astonishing 38 diamonds embellished across the piece in a dazzling array of colours ranging from orange to blue to pink, creating a rainbow-coloured gradient that weighs in at 19.71 carats. This is further anchored by the stunning centrepiece of a 3.88-carat LV Monogram Star cut diamond of incomparable purity, from which a 3-carat fancy pear-cut diamond in a vibrant orange-yellow hue is elegantly suspended.
