Inside Pete Davidson’s impressive watch collection: from matching Rolex Datejusts with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt – and his not-so-flashy version at 2022’s Met Gala with Kim Kardashian – to a US$30 Casio

Pete Davidson may be known as a funnyman, but he’s serious about timepieces – here’s a look inside his top picks, from Rolex and Patek Philippe to Jacob & Co.
Love him or hate him, Pete Davidson is a guy who knows how to make an impression.
For proof, you only need look at some of the high-profile people he’s managed to pull into his orbit over the years. From Bill Hader, who helped launch his career on Saturday Night Live, to the string of celebrities he’s dated, a list so blindingly star-powered that it’s at times eclipsed his actual work.

The same goes for his personal style. Whether you’re into it or not, it’s hard to ignore: an eclectic mix of bold colours and clashing patterns (a style he’s compared to how he dressed himself as a kid), ever-changing polychromatic hairstyles, and a shifting tapestry of tattoos that once covered virtually every inch of his body. He’s also no stranger to luxury watches – specifically Rolex, his go-to brand.
As the 31-year-old comedian’s style continues to evolve and take on a more adult aesthetic, let’s take a closer look at some of the Rolexes and a few other characteristically eccentric timepieces he’s been spotted wearing.
His-and-hers Rolex Datejusts in Everose Gold and Oystersteel

Davidson’s most recent luxury watch purchase was a pair of matching his-and-hers Rolexes – as sweet as they are stylish. Last month, the comedian shelled out around US$31,000 on a pair of identical Rolex Datejusts in Everose Gold and Oystersteel during a visit to the opening of Gerald Peters Watch & Jewelry in his hometown of Staten Island, where he showed up with new girlfriend Elsie Hewitt in tow, according to Us Weekly. Davidson first snagged the larger Datejust 41 with diamond hour markers (US$18,550), then surprised Hewitt with the smaller, wrist-friendly Datejust 31mm, worth US$12,400.
Rolex Datejust in Steel

For whatever reason, Davidson seems to have a soft spot for the Rolex Datejust. It’s an interesting pick for someone reportedly worth several million dollars, considering the Datejust is widely seen as an entry-level Rolex. Compared to flashier models, it’s relatively affordable (in the general neighbourhood of US$10,000) and easy to get your hands on one – not exactly the kind of flex you’d expect from someone with wealth to flaunt.
Take his appearance at the Met Gala in 2022 (yup, the one where he had Kim Kardashian on his arm). Davidson showed up wearing a classic steel Datejust with a grey dial – an understated choice for the most extravagant sartorial parade of the year. Look closer, however, and you’ll catch the subtle upgrades: a fluted bezel and diamond hour markers that elevate the piece without screaming for attention.
