Style Edit: Richard Mille’s women’s watches celebrate individuality and confidence

The RM 07-01 and RM 037 models showcase the brand’s trademark technical expertise as much as their bejewelled artistic flourishes

For over 20 years, Richard Mille has been building a vision of fine watchmaking dedicated to women that doesn’t dilute the brand’s technical DNA. These watches aren’t “softened” versions of the brand’s core ideas – they’re fully aligned with them. As the brand looks back on this journey, its feminine universe stands out for celebrating strength, individuality and confidence. Creative freedom remains central, allowing each collection to explore new ideas through materials, mechanics and form.
The RM 07-01 and RM 037 sit squarely at the centre of this approach. Contemporary and technical, they’re designed to move effortlessly from everyday wear to more elevated moments. The curved lines of their tonneau-shaped cases feel architectural rather than decorative, while skeletonised dials reveal each watch’s inner workings. Both models are powered by in-house automatic movements – the CRMA1 in the RM 037 and the CRMA2 in the RM 07-01 – finished by hand and engineered for precision as much as visual impact.

The watches are distinguished by a seamless coexistence of mechanical expertise and jewellery craftsmanship. Diamond-paved dials are paired with ornamental stones like onyx, jasper and mother-of-pearl, or contrasted against Carbon TPT. Some versions lean into refinement through subtle gem setting, while others draw the eye with unexpected combinations of gold, ceramic and advanced composites. Working with Carbon TPT presents its own gem-setting challenges, requiring specialised tools and techniques. The result is anything but conventional.
The RM 07-01 Starry Night from the Intergalactic collection captures this perfectly. Its 181 diamonds, each a different shape and size, are first set into hand-polished gold prongs, which are then individually embedded into the Carbon TPT case, creating a galaxy-like effect across the deep black surface.

Contrast the RM 037 in red gold with snow-set diamonds, the RM 07-01 in white gold on a diamond-set Gourmette bracelet, and the baguette-set RM 07-01 – all offering radically different expressions of the same idea. These watches don’t follow trends: they define a distinct style, rooted in technical beauty and an unmistakable identity.
