The expanded collection features slimline models and Dune white dials – perfect for adventurers and city dwellers alike

When you’re setting off on an intrepid voyage, you need tools that are rugged and reliable to go the distance. Happily, Tudor has long been a master of expedition watches. In the 1950s, its Oyster Princes were on the wrists of members of the pioneering British North Greenland Expedition. That collection, and that expedition, led to the Ranger – a name the company registered back in 1929.

This pedigree has made the Tudor Ranger the timepiece of choice for exacting events. A storied example is the Dakar Rally – the legendary off-road endurance race through the desert that subjects both vehicles and people to the ultimate test, for which Tudor was appointed the official timekeeper in 2025. Now Tudor’s sought-after Ranger collection has been expanded to include a novel slimline size and an eye-catching new dial colour.

Previously available in a 39mm case, the new models include a slimline 36mm iteration. Whatever the size, the watches come with a classy satin-brushed stainless steel finish, contrasting with polished elements such as the edge of the bezel.

Joining the existing black dials in the collection are new options with dials in a colour known – fittingly for a watch closely associated with the Dakar Rally – as Dune white. On them are a signature of the Ranger collection, the highly legible Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, with Super-LumiNova coating all of the hour markers as well as the hands; the second hand also shows off another Ranger signature, a burgundy tip.

Ticking away at the heart of the latest Rangers are a pair of high-performance movements, manufacture calibre MT5400 for the 36mm models and MT5402 for the 39mm ones. Both are certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute and provide a 70-hour power reserve.

Their satin-brushed stainless steel integrated bracelets come with Tudor’s own “T-fit” clasp, allowing for rapid adjustment. The bracelet can also be swapped out for a fabric strap in a trio of earthy tones, all woven in France on Jacquard looms that date back to the 19th century.

Designed to flourish amid ultra-challenging terrain yet not look out of place in even an urban setting, the new Ranger models add more choices to a collection suited to anyone with adventure in their heart.
