Lamborghini Miura Tour marks the 50th anniversary of the world's first supercar

As all Lamborghini fans are aware, this year marks the 50th anniversary of the Miura, the world's first supercar.

To commemorate the momentous year, 20 Miuras from around the world, including the United States, Japan and other European countries, participated in the June 8-12 Miura Tour in Italy. The biggest Miura rally organised by Automobili Lamborghini, the 500km tour visited Bologna, Parma, Portovenere, Viareggio, Lucca and finished in Florence.

During the tour, two Miura "fathers", Paolo Stanzani and Gian Paolo Dallara, made special appearances during the festivities. The celebrations ended on a high note in Florence's Piazza Ognissanti, where the Miuras were showcased at the parc fermé.

The 50th anniversary celebrations will continue in the US, at next month's Monterey Car Week.
