Ex-Dior designer Raf Simons is now Calvin Klein’s chief creative officer

Raf Simons now oversees all aspects of design, global marketing and communications, and visual creative services of all brands under Calvin Klein. Simons left Christian Dior in October 2015 after more than three years with the maison.

As part of Calvin Klein’s new global strategy to unify all brands including clothing, underwear, jeans and home furnishings under one creative vision, the appointment marks Simons’ first venture into American fashion. The brand has set a goal of raking in US$10 billion a year in global retail sales.

It’s official. After months of speculation, Calvin Klein has finally announced the appointment of the Belgian designer as its new chief creative officer to fill Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli’s shoes.
