For the first time ever, the luxury Italian fashion house Prada has launched an exclusive menswear collection in collaboration with online retailer Mr Porter.
The 32-piece capsule collection consists of ready-to-wear clothes, shoes and accessories.
This collection showcases both Prada and Mr Porter’s modern, fun and functional approach to classic menswear.
“We are extremely pleased to be part of this exclusive project in collaboration with Mr Porter that we consider being the perfect partner to communicate the values of the brand,” Stefano Cantino, Prada Group’s strategic marketing director, says.
“We strongly believe that this partnership with one of the major menswear luxury e-tailers is strategically relevant to our digital transformation in today’s changing scenario where we are making significant steps forward.”
The capsule collection, inspired by the 1950s and 1980s, when bowling was extremely popular in the United States, features camp-collar shirts in Hawaiian and pop-cartoon prints, and madras and gingham checks, mid-century-style, block-panelled striped cardigans and stripe-knit T-shirts, pleated and flat-front trousers, polo shirts and loafers.
