Irish boy band Boyzone will perform in Malaysia for the first – and last – time in August. The band enjoyed 21 Top-40 singles in the UK charts during a golden period from 1993-99. by 2013, it had sold 24 million records worldwide.

Boyzone made a comeback in 2007, originally with the intention of just touring. The band has sold 2 million records since then.

Its most famous line-up comprised Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, the late Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating and Shane Lynch.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Boyzone will be going on a stadium tour of the UK in late 2018, and will be releasing a new album in November 2018. The band members will go their separate ways again after the tour. Gately died of natural causes while in the Spanish island of Majorca in 2009.


The concert, organised by Star Planet, at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur on August 24 will see the band perform hits like Picture Of You, No Matter What, Love Me For A Reason, Words and Baby Can I Hold You Tonight. The four remaining members will perform a special song as a tribute to Gately.
