If you are already doing what you can to eat organically and live as plastic-free as possible, it follows that you would apply the same awareness to skincare products and spa treatments – and brands are taking note. The Melo Spa at Hyatt Regency Sha Tin will launch seven new treatments from September, featuring products from Elemental Herbology, a British brand that uses natural botanicals and ingredients free from synthetic fragrance, colour, SLS, paraben preservatives and mineral oils.

As suggested by its name, Elemental Herbology also follows the philosophy of five elements – earth, water, metal, fire, wood – and how your skin and well-being relate to each one. Spa therapists take into account each guest’s skin type, lifestyle and current environmental factors, then choose the most suitable element and matched product for a tailor-made experience. The seven treatments include aromatherapy facials and massages, as well as a body scrub and wrap.
