What’s in the new Rimowa x Aesop travel kit?

Rimowa has been busy lately. After its Off-White collaboration in June which made headlines due to both the popularity of the brands and the questionable security of having a transparent suitcase, the luggage company is now partnering with skincare company Aesop on its new Köln Travel Kit.

“Rimowa and Aesop share a meticulous approach to craftsmanship and an abiding interest in pared-back utilitarian design,” says Dr Kate Forbes, the general manager of product and research and development at Aesop. “Our shared pursuit of quality design led us to collaborate on creating a timeless, portable travel kit with coveted Aesop products for people venturing near and far from home.”

The handy kit contains Aesop’s classic shampoo and conditioner, its Geranium Leaf body cleanser and body balm, Rosehip Seed lip cream, popular Parsley Seed facial skincare staples such as cleanser, toner and serum, as well as toothpaste and mouthwash. This collection is suitable for most skin types and is particularly ideal for frequent travellers or those visiting urban environments, as the skincare products offer a high level of protection against external stressors.

The kit itself is designed to look like a miniature suitcase, with the aluminium case and simple, sleek lines so easily recognisable as Rimowa’s classic silhouette.

“The Köln Travel Kit is a perfect example of functional luxury,” says Hector Muelas, Rimowa’s chief brand officer.
