Montegrappa

The “Winter is Here” pen is an immaculate tribute to the Game of Thrones universe. Artisans used wax casting to form the Montegrappa fountain pen, which is meticulously sculpted with an effigy of the Night King and figure of Viserion the dragon.

The objet d’art has enamelled, crystal blue flames encircling the base of the cap, while semi-precious stones bring forth the merciless eyes of the reigning White Walker.

The pen is available in limited numbers of 300 pieces in Sterling Silver and only seven pieces in 18-carat gold.

It will premiere at Dubai’s MEFCC (Middle East Film and Comic Con) show from Thursday to Saturday.

Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker created its limited-edition whisky, named White Walker, in anticipation for the new Game of Thrones season.

The whisky is inspired by the most mysterious and relentless character in the fictional fantasy universe – no small feat, by any account.

The White Walker has notes of caramelised sugar and vanilla, fresh red berries and orchard fruit.

On its icy exterior, Johnnie Walker’s Striding Man character now wears armour in allegiance with the Night King. When the bottle is frozen, a graphic is revealed using temperature-sensitive ink technology. Winter is truly here.

The “Iron Shield” handbag mimics a knight’s armour with layers of tone-on-tone leather scales, similar to the understated attire of the Night’s Watch.

The “Golden Glory” handbag hones in on an oversized golden sun decal rising from the clasp, symbolising a king’s reign.

Another regal handbag, aptly named “Queen’s Desire” is embellished with fine cross-hatched brass detailing produced by Swiss clockmakers before being galvanised in France.

The bags also come in the new Micro format – with just enough room to slip in a smartphone – or an antidote for “The Long Farewell”.

MEY Designs

‘Game of Thrones’ costume jewellery

MEY Designs’ limited edition ‘Game of Thrones’ sterling silver dragon chocker – a replica of the item worn by the character Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke, in the HBO fantasy television series.

Jewellery pieces made by Game of Thrones costume designer Michele Clapton were created in collaboration with the jewellery brand, Yunus & Eliza, of Yunus Ascott and Eliza Higginbottom.

The trio created original pieces for the series – specifically for Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke – and because of high demand, started selling licensed reproductions of the iconic accessories under the MEY Designs.

The Mother of Dragons chain (US$3,650) is a showpiece 40-inch (101-centimetre)-long body chain, weighing 640 grams (22 ounces) in sterling silver.

This collector’s item is made exactly the same length as the chain worn by Clarke’s character.

Other reproduced collector’s pieces are also available on the company’s website.
