Gucci, Chanel and Armani lead luxury fashion offerings at K11 Musea – the new artsy mall at Hong Kong’s Victoria Dockside

TST’s new ‘museum-retail complex’ features China’s first Yohji Yamamoto, fashion brands Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Lanvin and Saint Laurent, while shoe lovers can visit Choo, Manolo Blahnik and Roger Vivier
Referring to itself as Hong Kong’s “Silicon Valley of culture” (note to K11 founder Adrian Cheng: there is no valley in Tsim Sha Tsui, and there are no start-ups in a shopping mall), K11 Musea promises to bring art, events, shopping and dining to Kowloon in one ambitious package.
The cultural-retail complex housed at Victoria Dockside opened its doors in August, and features artistic treasures by the likes of Elmgreen & Dragset, Katharina Grosse, Adrian Wong, Samson Young and Zhang Enli – but for those in search of less elevated pursuits, it contains a lot of shops, including a range of design and luxury giants.
The new mall will be a paradise for lovers of fine accessories. Shoe obsessives are well served by Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Roger Vivier and Sergio Rossi. Fashion house Chloé has decided to focus on shoes, bags and leather goods at its pop-up concept store, which offers personalisation of its Chloé C mini bags in Hong Kong for the first time.
To mark its opening, the world’s oldest luxury leather goods house, Delvaux, has introduced the Miniatures Hong Kong Collection, an exclusive series of Hong Kong-themed charms, in a store that derives design inspiration from the Palais Stoclet in the brand’s Brussels home.
Equally smart is Tod’s new boutique, with a marble and chrome design by New York architectural firm Bonetti/Kozerski. Fans of sustainable accessories are well-served by UK brand Bottletop, which sells bags upcycled from aluminium ring-pulls, and has crafted its new store from sustainable materials. And on the luggage front, Tumi’s concept store features a kinetic wall made from 45 suitcase-like sculptures, and a capsule collection created with Hong Kong artist Bao Ho.
The mall will also feature the first Yohji Yamamoto store in China, as well as a Y-3, alongside a who’s who of luxury fashion names, including Chanel, Gucci, Loewe, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Giorgio Armani, Givenchy, Lanvin, Saint Laurent, Vivienne Tam, Mulberry, Michael Kors, Kenzo, Tory Burch, Brunello Cucinelli, Barbour and Calvin Klein.
