Singer-songwriter Zayn Malik, a former member of the globally-gigantic boy band One Direction, is offloading his New York City penthouse less than two years after purchasing it.
According to British broadsheet The Observer, Malik purchased the home in March 2018, shortly after his break-up with supermodel Gigi Hadid was announced, for US$10.69 million.
The two reunited shortly after but have since broken up once again. He listed the home in July of 2019 for US$10.8 million.

Now, he's cut that price to US$10.2 million, which is a loss of nearly US$500,000 on what he purchased it for.
The 26-year-old's bachelor pad is located in SoHo, a swanky neighbourhood in Lower Manhattan. According to the property listing, the four-bedroom, four-bathroom penthouse boasts 3,597 square feet (334 square metres) of interior space and an additional 932 square feet (87 square metres) of rooftop terrace space.

The penthouse is located on Greene Street, a cobblestone street known for its stunning architecture and boutique stores, about a 20-minute subway ride from Midtown Manhattan.

The building is over 140 years old – and according to the real-estate listing platform StreetEasy, it used to be a silk-manufacturing building.
Preserving its historic roots through architecture, the post-industrial style home boasts 3.7-metre-high (12-foot) vault ceilings and a custom steel staircase.
